Steak. Mac 'N Cheese. Beer. Wine. These are few of our favorite things... and recently, we were able to enjoy the latter two at a couple of our shows! Over the last couple of weekends we've had the honor of playing at Rockford Brewing Company as well as Hailey's Winery & Vinyard in Byron, IL. Both of which serve up a pretty tasty glass of their respective beverages. On top of that, though, they are both wonderful venues to play at.
We had an AMAZING turn out at RBC -- granted, they are always busy, but our fans certainly contributed :) Before we started, we snuck across the hall to enjoy a plate of their incredible food (Jesse ordered a pork chop, and the Irish Stout, while I enjoyed their fish & chips, with a glass of their West Coast IPA). We played from 9pm-midnight and felt like we were fighting the crowd to be heard, but we were well received and had a blast!
The next weekend at Hailey's we also had a decent crowd show up... not nearly as rowdy, but equally as fun! They let us sample a few wines before we chose our bottle for the night, which was their Seyval Blanc... a crisp, dry white wine. Yum, yum, yum :) We amused some of the locals by eating dinner at Byron's Fifth Alarm Firehouse Pub... and then returning later that night for one more beer. Our waitress from dinner recognized us and gave us a bit of a hard time -- all in good fun, of course!
Here are a couple photos from our show at Rockford Brewing Co. The second one was taken by our friend Sarah H. Thanks Sarah (and everyone else) for coming out!
