In February, we did another CD release show. This time, though, it included our live acoustic EP, "The Littlebeck Sessions". This was recorded last Fall, with the help of our buddy from Starlite Radio, Jordan McDonald, who recorded, mixed, and mastered the whole thing! It was fun to record it the way we play live... a completely different process, that's for sure!
Okay... back to the show!
For this release show, we booked a pretty sweet supporting line up to play with us at Rockford's oldest bar, Mary's Place. We brought in our friend from Milwaukee, Zach Pietrini, to open up the night. In case you don't remember, we played with him and his band last April at The Commons. This time he played solo, which was just as awesome! He's also quite hilarious on stage... just saying :) To close out the night, our close friends Starlite Radio took the stage! In the middle, was us! But... it wasn't JUST us. We played as a FULL BAND for the first time, with the help from some friends. Jordan McDonald (mentioned above, from Starlite Radio), rocked the bass; Scott Ford (who plays with the likes of Kelly Steward and Derek Luttrell, among many others!) banged on some drums; and finally, Micky Rosenquist (who recorded/produced our self-titled LP), was the master of many instruments, including, banjo, slide guitar, electric, accordion, and even a little keyboard! Jesse was still on acoustic, and Heather did keys, as well as her usual fiddling! It was such an amazing experience, being able to play all of our own originals (plus our cover of "You Are My Sunshine"), and having the audience just sit and listen! Man, it was fun!
The turnout was amazing, and we truly felt like rock stars for a few minutes :) Enjoy the photos that Catalyst Design & Photography took that evening!
